TRANSPARENT STORYTELLING
I believe in the messy, the imperfect, and the out-of-focus, in small moments and also in grand gestures. I believe in grainy black and whites and laughing so hard that you canβt breathe. I believe in images that show you pieces of yourself that you didnβt even know existed. I believe in big fancy weddings with all of your best friends dancing the night away and in small intimate elopements where youβre exploring and celebrating with the people closest to your heart. I believe in your story.β£
This job is so special and I donβt take a moment of it for granted. Itβs much more than 50 images of you looking straight into the lens and smiling as hard as you can. People invite me to join in and witness some of the most significant moments of their lives β getting engaged, married, the start of their family, when that first baby comes into the world (then the 2ndβ¦ 3rdβ¦) β and, not only do I get to witness their entire lives unfold right before my eyes, but I actually have the honor and responsibility of capturing it for them to last a lifetime. I often imagine what it will be like in 100 years when someone dusts off an old photo album (or letβs be honest here, finds an old USB full of photos at the bottom of a moving box or in the drawer of an old desk) and sees some images Iβve taken of their great-grandparents. How exciting it will be to see this moment forever frozen in time.
So please, let your guard down, be real, donβt stress, have fun, and take it for the beautiful mess that it is. This is your story, letβs tell it the real way.
